수세기동안 전통예술에 스며들어온 소리의 다양한 모습들 등 예술가들의 자유분방한 관점과 접근방법을 통해 소리/사운드가 갖는 무한한 예술적 확장가능성을 함께 경험하기 위한 여정입니다.
[남원 사운드 아티스트 레지던시]는 참여 예술가들에게는 남원의 자연, 마을, 공간, 일상, 다양한 사람들과의 만남 속에서 예술 창작의 새로운 영감을 받을 수 있는 환경을 제공하고, 지역민들에게는 일상의 공간과 삶이 예술적으로 사유되고 변화되는 새로운 경험을 선사하고자 합니다.
Namwon Sound Artist Residency is a program that seeks to expand the boundaries of art through the discovery and exploration of sounds. Artists will get to use their unique views and approaches to sounds that are embedded in the centuries old traditional art surrounded by Namwon’s rich natural environment (Jiri Mountain). Namwon’s Sound Artist Residency is a journey into the infinite artistic potential of sound.
Namwon Sound Artist Residency offers different sources for artistic inspiration. Artists will be immersed in Namwon’s natural surroundings, and they will visit towns and villages and have the opportunity to meet people of diverse backgrounds and learn about how they live their daily lives. For the residents of Namwon, they will get to experience how their daily routine and space can be used artistically and be newly transformed.
